Now a day’s most of the people those who are using desktop computers are moving to Laptop. Laptops are more expensive than the desktop computer, so we have to choice the best Laptop while purchasing. So we people should have a knowledge about the Laptop, if we does not have the knowledge about Laptop we cannot choice the correct Laptops.


So let’s see what are the things to consider when purchasing a Laptop?

First of all we should decide the brand of the Laptop which we are going to purchase. To buy the best brand, choice any one of the brand from the below given brands.
SONY
HP
DELL
SAMSUNG
THOSHIBA
LENOVA
ACER
Then, from the selected Laptop brand we should consider the following things.

LAPTOP CONFIGURATION


Processor

Processor is a very important chip in the Laptop mother board. The best processor in the present market is Intel Core i7. After this Intel Core i5 and Intel Core i3 are next best processor. If you’re ready to purchase an expensive Laptop, first of all choice a best brand and then choice the one of the given below processor.
Intel Core i7
Intel Core i5
Intel Core i3

If you decide to purchase a cheaper Laptop than the above mentioned, then you can choice either one of the processor.
Intel Core 2 Duo
Intel Dual Core

If you select the lower quality processor than the above mentioned processors, it’s not suitable for the latest technology.
Next we should consider on Processor Speed. 1.60 GHz Speed and 2.0 GHz Speed processors are very slow. So choose 2.8 GHz speed or higher than this.

RAM

Next we should concentrate on RAM size. RAM size is responsible for computer speed, when we run more than 1 program at a time the computer will get slow. So if we want to run latest advanced programs, we should at least use 2GB RAM. If we have more than 2GB RAM your computer will have more speed.
Mostly latest laptop comes with DDR2 RAM, but DDR3 RAM is better than DDR2 RAM. 
So if you wish, you can replace DDR2 RAM to DDR3 RAM. 






HARD DISK
The Laptop which we are going to purchase should have at least a Hard-disk with capacity of 320GB. Because if we want to use the latest advanced software like Photoshop, CorelDraw we need at least 320GB Hard-disk. To save our data and files, we need this much of Hard-disk capacity. When selecting a Hard-disk, we must consider on Hard-disk Speed also.



The following Hard-disk Speeds are better to use in latest Laptop.
SPEED 7200RPM
SPEED 5400RPM
If your Hard-disk speed is less than above mention speed, select one of the Hard-disk from above mentioned.



DVD DRIVE
If you’re buying a branded Laptop you don’t want to care a lot about DVD drive. Because mostly branded Laptop comes with suitable DVD drive.


GRAPHIC CARD
When purchasing a Laptop the next important thing to consider is Graphic Card. It’s important because if you’re using Photoshop, CorelDraw, playing a video game or if you wish to watch HD Videos in your Laptop, you should have quality Graphic card. 


When you select a Graphic Card another important thing to consider is whether it is “Dedicated Graphic Card” or “Integrated Graphic Card”. 
“Dedicated Graphic Card” is much better than “Integrated Graphic Card”. If “Dedicated Graphic Card” is fixed in your Laptop, while playing high quality games the Laptop wont get slow.



OPERATING SYSTEM
Next select the Operating System for your Laptop. In the latest Laptops, mostly Windows 7 installed as operating system. But Windows 7 has different versions.

Windows 7 Ultimate
Windows 7 Professional
Windows 7 Home premium
Windows 7 Home basic
Windows 7 Starter version



Select one of the above mentioned version. But 
“Windows 7 Ultimate” and 
“Windows 7 Professional” are the best, so choice either one of this.

Mostly latest laptop comes with Webcam, Mike but once again check whether these are available or not in laptop. And also check HDMI port, Memory card slot, Front mike, etc...

How to create new Partition without Formatting a Hard Disk?

If your Hard-disk contain 3 partitions in your PC and you need to create 1 more partition then what will you do? Most of people are doing the following methods to create new partition in Hard-disk.

Format the Hard-disk and create a new partition. Let’s see an easier method to create a new partition without formatting a Hard-disk.

To do this we don’t need any software and also no need to copy the data to separate drives. By doing the following methods we can create a New Partition from System Drive.

Right Click on My Computer 
Click Manage 
Now “Computer Management” window will appear.

In that window Click Storage 
Then select Disk Management.

In that window Hard-disk and other Storage Media detail will be shown.
Now select a Disk drive to create a New Partition.

Right Click on particular Drive then Click Shrink Volume. 
Now windows will show the free space in particular partition.


Type the disk size to create New Partition in Shrink Window.

Now click on “Shrink”, within few seconds a New Disk will be created.



Still Accessible is not done in New Disk.

Now Right Click on Unallocated Drive. Select New Simple Volume.

Click on Next. Now give a size to the New Partition. (you can choice whole size right now)

Select a Drive letter and Click on Next.

Then select Format Setting ->
File System -> 
NTFS. And keep others as default. (if you need you can change this)


Put a tick on “Performances a Quick Format” and Click on Next.
Now the New Partition is created successfully.

Computer Beep Sounds (BIOS)

When we switch on the computer, at the Booting time BIOS will check the hardware parts whether all the parts are working or not. If any problems in hardware parts a “Beep” sound will occur in the PC.

We can find the problems by the number of “Beep” sound which comes from PC.


1 Beep sound - RAM can be damage when refreshing. To correct this problem, remove the RAM and fix it again properly.

2 Beep sounds - Something wrong with Battery Circuit. To correct this, remove the RAM and fix it again.

3 Beep sounds - In this stage the Base RAM would have damage. To fix this problem remove the RAM and fix it again, even though if it doesn’t work replace a new RAM.

4 Beep sounds - Problem with System Memory. To fix this problem, correct the System Board.

5 Beep sounds - In this situation problem occur in Processor. We have to check the System Board to fix this problem.

6 Beep sounds - Problem with “Keyboard controller” and “Gate A-20”. To fix this problem should correct the Keyboard Controller Chip.

7 Beep sounds - Something damage with “Virtual Mode Exception”.
8 Beep sounds - Problem in Display Memory area. 
To fix the both (7 & 8) Beep sounds remove the VGA Card and fix it again.
9 Beep sounds - Problem with BIOS Chip. To fix this, change the BIOS Chip in the Mother Board.

10 Beep sounds - Problem with “CMOS Shutdown Registry”. To fix this problem, correct the System Board.

Nonstop Beep sounds - Damage in Video Area. To fix this problem, remove the VGA Card and fix it again.

Pen-drive Write Protection & Virus

How to remove "Write Protection" on your Pen-Drive

When we copy the data or files from Pen-drive to PC, sometimes an error message will be shown as “Cannot copy files and folders, drive is Write protected. Remove right protection or use another disk”. Even if we try to copy it many times, we won’t be able to copy. And also if we try to Format the Pen-drive or Delete the files from Pen-drive the same error message will be shown.

This error message is shown, because viruses make changes in “Registry”.
Let’s see an easiest way to remove the “Right Protection” on Pen-drive.

Click on Start – Run
Then Copy and Paste the following line.

reg add "HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\StorageDevic ePolicies" /t Reg_dword /v WriteProtect /f /d 0

Then remove the Pen-drive and insert it again. Now Pen-drive will work without any error message.

If u wish to make your Pen-drive “Write Protection” again, Copy and Paste the following line in “Run”.

reg add "HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\StorageDevic ePolicies" /t Reg_dword /v WriteProtect /f /d 1

If doesn’t work, restart your PC once.

How to Format the Virus Pen-Drive 

When you try to format the Pen-drive, sometime the Pen-drive won’t get formatted. Mostly the main reason for this is “Viruses”. So if you can’t format the Pen-drive directly, follow the below given methods.

Right Click on "My Computer"
Then "Manage"
"Disk Management" 
Right Click on your Pen-drive
Click "Change Drive Letter And Paths"



Remove the selected Letter


Now Right Click the Pen-drive in that same place.

Then Click on “Format”.

And now the Pen-drive will be formatted. Then again Right Click on Pen-drive and Add a Letter to Pen-drive, if not Pen-drive won’t show in "My Computer".

If doesn't get formatted by doing this method. Then you cannot format the Pen-drive in your computer. So use another PC to format the Pen-drive.

Lock PC Temporarily when someone Enter Wrong Password (Without any Software)

Hi Friends !!!
Today I'm going to show you "How to Lock PC temporarily when Someone enter wrong password".  Most of us saved our Important data and files on our computer. If we away from our PC, somebody may try to login into our system by guessing the password.

To avoid this situation we can lock our PC temporarily by using "Windows Security Settings". By using this option, our PC will lock automatically if someone entered wrong password more than 3 times. This will make hard to guess the password to the particular person. If the person entered more than 3 wrong passwords, PC may get lock for next 30 Minutes.

How to do this

Click on Start button
Type Local Security Policy in Search programs and files box.
Now Click on "Local Security Policy"



From left window pane Expand Account Policies
Then Double click on Account Lockout Policy 
After that Double click on Account Lockout threshold


Now a new window will appear.


In that window give the value after how many invalid password login attempts you want to lock your PC.


Now click on Apply.

Then Click OK

How to Import or Export Blogger Blog Posts?

If you admin a blog it's better to have a backup of your blog posts. You can import or export your blogger blog posts. Here goes the procedure..






Export/Import Your Posts - If you have a copy blogger posts xml file. In any odd situations if you lost your blogger posts you can easily import  all your posts. Go to your blogger dashboard click on Settings and then click on other settings. Now you will see Import, Export Delete options on top of the screen. You can either export your blogger posts or if you have an xml file of your posts you can import them.

Disable auto save email address in Gmail

Any time u send a mail to new person , Gmail will automatically save add that person's contact list. So next time when you want to send e mail to the same person you need not to remember his/her email id because gmail has saved it as contact if you will write any part of his/her name gmail will show you list of matching contacts & you can select from it.

Now above feature is really very helpful if you are used to send mails to some small no of important people. But if you are used to send many emails a day to some people who are not very important then also Gmail will keep on auto saving those people to your contact list. So if you fill that these unnecessary contacts are cluttering your address book then you can disable this auto save feature. Here's how.....

1)Login to your Gmail account.

2)Click on setting tab.

3)Now under general tab you will find option like: "Create contacts for auto-complete" . For this option select radio button : "I will add contacts myself" .

Note: After changing this setting Gmail will not auto save any contacts so make sure that you add important contacts manually.:)
